Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result. Castle Rock Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those searches on its own servers. A message sent to the contact address is used only to read and answer what the sender includes.
Routine Technical Logs
The hosting service may record an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and time stamps. Those logs are reviewed in aggregate to maintain the pages and understand general use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement when those services are enabled.
How the Information Is Used
The limited information supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic counts, and page improvements. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual user profiles are not built here.
External Portals and Services
Pages link to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and sponsored search tools. Each outside service has its own privacy policy, and that policy controls information submitted there. The third-party provider behind sponsored results is not controlled by this reference.
Who May Process It
Hosting and technical service providers may process ordinary server logs. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above where those tools are active. Disclosure may also occur when a valid legal process requires it.
Security and Retention
The pages use an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described above. Because no account system is provided, there is no site password or user profile to expose.
Children and Minors
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Personal information from someone under 18 is not knowingly collected. If a minor has sent information, contact the operator so it can be located and deleted when appropriate.
Your Colorado Privacy Choices
Where it applies, the Colorado Privacy Act, C.R.S. ยงยง6-1-1301 et seq., provides rights to access, correct, delete, obtain portability, and opt out of certain sale, targeted-advertising, or profiling activities. Applicability, verification, exemptions, and public-record exclusions matter. Because this service keeps little information, a request usually involves checking the contact mailbox and relevant logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Records held by Colorado, Douglas County, Castle Rock, courts, or archives remain under their own custodian rules; a request to remove an original public record must go there.
